really liked it
bookshelves: film

It was from this bk that I learned the term "graphic matching" for describing shot transitions in wch the end of one shot looks similar to the beginning of the one following it. I also learned about top-down processing. This latter inspired me to make a film called "Peterson's Restaurant". Craig Baldwin recommended that I never show it again! I like it though. Well.. sortof. Anyway, this bk attempts to explain how "viewers can make sense of American avant-garde films". I wonder how many people read it in the hopes that it wd "all make sense now"?
