3.5 stars!! BEWARE!! THIS BOOK CONTAINS CHEATING!!

Normally I stay away from books that involve cheating of any kind. First because the reason I read romance novels is to get my dose of unrealistic HFNs and HEAs. There is nothing remotely romantic about infidelity. Second, although I love a book that tugs at the ol' heartstrings, I don't need those strings cut.

However, despite the fact that the MCs cheat in this book, it kind of worked. The twist in the plot made it more palatable. I still don't condone it, and this book didn't change my view on it, but it was done in a way that didn't make me spew.

Marley's marriage to Cole seemed pathetic. I'm not sure if it's because the story was told from her POV, but she seemed way too desperate while he seemed apathetic.

I really liked River. He was bold, sexy, successful, ambitious, generous, and surprisingly sensitive. For him alone I wanted a happy ending and the HFN was extremely sweet.
