it was amazing
bookshelves: fiction, mystery

The Face of a Stranger is the first in Anne Perry's William Monk series. It's my favorite of her series. William Monk is an intriguing character, as is the situation he finds himself in (he has lost his memory due to an accident and must bluff his way through any number of situation). Other interesting characters are introduced as well. Perry's books are full of historical details about the time. Although the series has not kept up its quality in every book, I highly recommend The Face of a Stranger.
