it was amazing

"Runtime" by S.B. Divya is concise, well-paced work which is jammed pack full of some amazing writing.

The writing is crisp and, for lack better word, utterly "clean". By that I mean the narrative structure, descriptive scenes, dialogue and overall writing is just right, Goldilocks-style. Divya has a genuine talent, from start to finish, of providing the reader just enough information to understand what is occurring in the story as well as imparting critical information without resorting to awkward info-dumps.

And she makes it look easy!

The protagonist is vivid and very well-depicted, with both virtues and flaws. The basic premise is simple in scope, yet elegant in execution.

There were numerous flourishes which were impressive but none so much as the dialogue throughout the work. The author has created an entire argot which, after a brief time, is readily understood by the reader which added an interesting air of authenticity to it.

In summary, a short work, written to high standards of quality and style which will leave you pondering a great many themes.

Seriously, grab this novella and read it.
