really liked it

I decided to read Cekik first among the 3 Fixi novels. What attracted me was the fact that it takes place in the future, but it's not a science fiction; and its non-stereotypical synopsis. I have to say that the novel offers a good introduction to Fixi's efforts. Cekik is free from boundaries or rules. Its unusual structure (or is it the lack of a structure?) makes it a refreshing read. What seems like 'flaws' throughout actually make sense at the end. There are still some 'question marks' left unanswered though. The Maggi mee story is a bonus, LOL! To sum it up, it's a BEAUTIFULLY IMPERFECT piece of work (borrowing Yasmin Ahmad's TVC). Well done, Ridhwan! I want to read more of your work!
