This was a nice book about what would happen if money grew on trees invented by a boy. Instead of keeping the tree to himself he shared it with everyone to solve the problem of poverty and make sure everyone had enough of everything. Who would steal if every one had enough money?

Well soon everyone wants to grow money trees and not food. It devolves into lack of productivity and there is a food shortage and no stores are open. The boy wakes up and sees how bad his would be of money were free for the taking.

This book encourages a good work ethic.

While this is a good start, it doesn't even begin to address the issue of fiat currency or how the Fed basically does this by printing money and more money thereby devaluing our money at a slower pace than this fictitious story. I like the Tuttle Twins book about the creature from Jekyll island better than this book.
