Mr. Perfect (Mister, #1)

I loved Mac. I loved loved loved loved loved him. Do you get how much I loved him?! Everything I loved about this book revolved around Mac.
When Ellie's delusions were uncovered, I laughed my ass off over the fact that she was a grown ass woman doing this. It was freaking ridiculous. I didn't find it endearing, sweet, or cute... until I got Mac's reactions. I loved his dominant personality and how he Alpha'd Ellie right where he wanted her. I loved his sense of humour. I loved his integrity. I loved his everything.
Ellie was hard to like. Her thought processes were increasingly frustrating as the book progressed. I couldn't relate to her for the most part. I did like how she tried to improve herself and have faith in herself. I also liked how she tried to embrace what was building with Mac but I didn't like how she (1) jumped to conclusions, (2) became (or was) judgmental, (3) expected full disclosure within only 2 weeks of making his acquaintance, and (4) sabotaged everything. Her self-pity towards the end was just that... pitiful.
All four of the stars I awarded this book go to Mac and the amazing awesomeness that was his character. Now that I've met Mr. Perfect and learned what makes him so perfect (and the story behind his nickname), I'm excited to read the rest of the Mister series. I hope to get the opportunity to see more of Mac in the other books despite them being standalones.
And I'm anxious to find out what the final book, Mr. Match, will reveal. Slowly revealed secrets make me nervous.
Enjoy! xo
