I don't know why I love looking at decorating books so much, but I do! This is one of my favorites so far; if I really was decorating a house, this provides great step-by-step instructions for the average person, and explains the different types and shapes of just about everything -- so it's practical as well as eye candy. Makes me wish I'd read domino magazine before it went under! Tidbits:

p. 127 - I didn't know there was such a thing as an all-in-one unit (stovetop, fridge, sink, and storage) for tiny kitchens

p. 129 - wallpapering your fridge (I don't think I would do this, but the effect sure is fun)

p. 151 - a DIY bed canopy after my own heart

p. 153 - framed wallpaper as a headboard

p. 160 - LOVE this yellow bedroom

p. 167 - painting converging stripes on a bathroom ceiling for a trompe l'oeil circus tent effect

p. 200 - framing a desk with a canopy and curtains (!)
