Gosh it's been a while since I read a book!

I picked this one up after a rec from Amanda and a Sam's Club price of $6 figuring I needed to read something. It was really good! Not fantastic bc it was a bit predictable, but still very good. And the preview of the 2nd book made me run to Walmart to buy it (and they didn't have it, boooo Walmart!).

Cassell was an easy to like character but I did get frustrated with him at the end.

Things were a tad jumpy toward the end, but not bad enough to annoy me.

Very fast, easy read. Drew me in. I think I read it in a couple of hours when I planned for it to last a couple of days.

I wish that we were told MORE about the curse worker history, but there are more books to learn it in. I felt that we were only told a portion of the backhistory and it's such an interesting world that I want to know everything.
