bookshelves: award-winning-author, bookcrossing, made-into-a-movie, horror

Not one of Koontz's better books. He actually wrote this based on a screen play so the idea is not his entirely. I liked the carnival horror aspect of the book, I have always found some carnival people to be sinister and I generally stay away from them so for me it is a good setting for a horror story. What I disliked about this book was the lack of characters with any good sense of backbone. When I can't find one character I can in the least bit connect with it ruins it for me.
