Snatched this up when I saw it immediately upon entering the children's room. I read some of it to Natalie during lunch. It is too older for her for the most part. I liked how it shows a large range in the child's emotions over the course of the pregnancy. I like how the mother is present throughout the book, though the child's thoughts about the baby are the focus. I didn't really like the illustrations for the parts where the child imagines the baby doing different things. For Natalie, I would want a more concrete book about babies and how they are when they first arrive. This is better for older children with more imagination and ability to express themselves. Optimistic ending, too.
