Broken Places: A Memoir of Abuse

by Rachel Thompson (Goodreads Author)
Broken Places is raw and emotional. This book tugs you down a rabbit hole of exposed secrets so open it feels almost wrong to look at them, but at the same time, you can't help but probe deeper. The story Rachel Thompson tells is one I can identify with as a survivor of childhood abuse.
It resonates on many levels; from the surface issues to the darkest corners of the soul, she explores the fall-out from her stolen innocence, her loss of faith, and the fear that pervades the lives of many survivors long after the abuser is gone and the abuse is over. I cannot recommend this book highly enough.
