The first half of this book is about a dude ditching his family because he’d rather be in a Category 5 Hurricane than in a minivan in traffic with his family. And let’s face it, that makes perfect sense. The dude doesn’t even go on vacation with his family. Which once again … makes sense.

The second half of this book that same dude gets unimaginably screwed over for three weeks by various forms of authority. And what’s really worse is that he gets screwed over due to massive incompetence at multiple stages. It’s truly staggering that at no point did someone intervene on his behalf.

Although I didn’t think the first half was that remarkable, there was enough background to get you to the second half which is where the real story really is.
