This book was surprisingly amazing! It's funny but it was recommended to me through an email from Amazon and I'm thrilled that I got to take advantage of it through my KU account.
One thing I can say about this book is that the writing style is definitely unique. It is so different from ANYTHING I've ever read before. It's narrated first person POV by the heroine, which was a bit disconcerting because her inner thoughts drove me nuts. There was enough craziness happening throughout the story and her mind added more clutter and white noise.
For those of you, like me, who are opposed to reading about OW, OM, or really any cheating whatsoever, I must warn you that there is some in this book. However, it is not what you think. It is all part of the mindfuck that is the plot, which is revealed pretty early on in the story. Please go in with an open mind, but be prepared to be disgusted, repulsed and strangely turned on.
I didn't have much love for Clove throughout this story and that didn't really change by the end. I was, however, sympathetic to her plight and found myself rooting for her despite my distaste for her character.
The events of the book unfolded pretty quickly and definitely kept me on my toes, anxiously waiting to read what was going to happen next. Once again, I'm glad I took a chance with this book and I'm happy book 2 (Reprisal) is also available through KU.
Enjoy! xo

Honestly, it is a bit disturbing, but the story behind it kind of makes it acceptable. It took a lot of overthinking for me to give this story a chance. I abhor cheating in any way, but I was ok with this one.
