"My world is, and always has been, darkness, shadows, night."

The Dead House is the first book I've read by Dawn Kurtagich, and I loved it! The story was mysterious, and completely had my attention. I loved the format, and the writing.

This is going to be a short review because I think this is one that you should go into without knowing much more than the synopsis gives.

At times, this book felt a little too long, and the insta-love annoyed me, but I enjoyed the hell out of this book as a whole. I'm still not entirely sure what all went on, and this is definitely something I would want to re-read one day. This story was unique, and it stands out for me. I'll be reading more from Dawn Kurtagich soon!

CW - attempted suicide and ideation, self-harm, sexual assault
