The irrepressible Pacy is back in this delightful book. During this year Pacy’s best friend, Melody, moves to California and another Taiwanese student joins her class. Pacy’s parents want her to befriend this boy, Dun-Wei; however, Pacy resists because Dun-Wei embarrasses her by his Asian “foreignness” and she misses Melody.

Wonderful pen and ink drawings are scattered on nearly every page. Chinese stories and family reminiscences stand out in italics. The drawings and the stories add depth and insight to this book.

Absolutely great!
