it was amazing
Read from April 27 to May 08, 2011

truly one of those can't put it down books that makes you want to call in sick to work so you can keep reading. jeannette walls had an extraordinary childhood. her parents, an artist and an alcoholic, moved around like gypsies, taking their four children along for the ride. this memoir allows you to accompany the author on the nomadic adventure that was her tumultuous childhood. at times you'll find yourself wishing that you had been with them to experience the exciting trips they went on. Other times, you'll feel sorry for the Walls children, who seem to be more responsible for their own well being than their often neglectful parents. in the end, this book will make you think about how we set our priorities in life. is freedom more valuable than comfort? adventure more important than responsibility? is homelessness a valid lifestyle choice? this book won't give you the answers, but it will make you ponder your own values and might make you entertain possibilities you had never previously considered.
