it was ok
bookshelves: 2011, german, male-writers

Read in preparation for my journey to Morocco this year ("journey" makes it sound way more epic than it was - I was only there for one brief, but intense, week). I'm so very glad that I didn't buy this book in french, because I would have likely had to admit defeat after even the first, few sentences. Even in German I had a hard time following, and I freely admit that I have no idea what this book is about, or what I could tell you to make you want to read it, or not read it.

I took it as an example of the poetic language of the Maghreb literature, and moved on.

(no, it comes as no surprise that no one else has reviewed this book yet. That's me, banzai reviewer in attack mode!
