There was a lot to like in this book. Awesome Alpha male who works for the FBI!! Spunky and sweet heroine. Amazing side characters, mainly the heroine's family. Honestly the cast and crew did a great job with this story. Even the suspenseful parts were interesting and not as over-the-top as I expected for what I assumed was a drama-filled plot.

However, there were a few glitches for me. One, there was too much of Gabby's voice, not enough of Jude's. I really liked him. I wanted more. I wanted to see more. His family is mentioned, we meet his dad very briefly, and then the rest of the interactions happen behind the scenes. I wanted to see her integrate into his family just as much as I got to see him with hers. Two, there were far too many descriptions of clothes and furniture. I love details, but sometimes a little says a lot. Sometimes a book can get bogged down by the details. So I could have done with a little less detail with regards to the material items. Three, I wanted to know what happened in the end with Gabby's friend and her smuggler husband. We get the bare bones but here's where I wanted details. I wanted to know if Gabby had to testify. I wanted to know if Jude had to testify. How much time did the girl's husband get??? And four, the sex scenes were NOT sizzling!! I wanted more more more. And because they lacked, their sexual chemistry suffered.

Aside from these minor issues, the book was more than enjoyable. I really liked the glimpses we got of the side characters as well. Tony was extremely endearing to me and I would normally be eager to read his story, however, with the preview at the end of this book, I find myself cringing over Leigh. I don't think I like her and it's deterring me from giving their story a chance. Hopefully I'll get over this soon and read it.
