Very much enjoyed. Sort of steampunk fantasy; reminiscent of China Miéville. Gilman's Powers - the train-like Engines of the Line, and the Guns - are new and interesting twists on the run-of-the-mill collection of the usual fantasy gods. Seemed like a lead-up to a sequel, but no indication on the book that its part 1 of 17 or any such...
