Norwegian by Night (Sigrid Ødegård #1)

This is well-written and well-constructed, mingling present-time action with the main character's many recollections and imaginings of his past.
Unfortunately, I only really found the present action gripping. During the longer pieces of the story based on memory/imagination, I became bored several times and found myself skim reading to get back to the present action.
I'm sad I didn't enjoy this book more because I'm usually a great fan of books with protagonists over the age of 60, and Sheldon was a complex, interesting character. It's just a shame I didn't find the entire story more involving.
