it was amazing
bookshelves: christian-living, best-of-2020

This was a really good book. I appreciated several things about Powlison's work including:

- The pastoral/counseling tone that the whole book was written in.
- Powlisons's careful distinctions between redemptive and destructive anger.
- The way Powlison points us to God to understand what redemptive anger can look like.
- The soul-searching questions Powlison encourages us to ask to discern the roots of our anger.
- The way that Powlison praises what is good about certain types of anger while warning us against allowing certain good excuses to justify destruction.

It's a book I needed to read and a book I'd wholeheartedly recommend.

Rating: 4.5 Stars (Excellent).
