An interesting mystery that stemmed from a real life event for the author. The story is told mostly from Katy McKenna's perspective, but there are some flashbacks to Phil Hobart's perspective as well. Their lives don't really intersect, but the inciting event is what ties the two stories together. I liked Katy's dog, Daisy. Katy's grandmother, Ruby, seems like a real feisty old lady and reminds me a bit of Janet Evanovich's character Grandma Mazur.
