description

Mercedes is all grown up and ready to take on her next adventure; college. I love her, she has sass and attitude. She is the daughter of a biker and boy does it show but she is also a great friend. She is caring and just wants to fit in. The beginning of her new life is not easy especially when the most popular boy in school is also the biggest jerk on the planet. Mercedes met Diesel once, before school and while he left a lasting impression on her, he makes no secret about his dislike towards her when they begin their school year.

Diesel is an a$$, he is cruel and mean. But like a true shining star Mercedes is bound to be his friend. Except he is the worse kind of friend she can have. He is the member of a motorcycle club that is not her father's and things are about to get tricky. Diesel puts on a show, plays the part he thinks he is supposed to play, he doesn't want this life and holds onto some deep guilt that has been eating away at his soul.

Diesel and Mercedes relationship is almost like Romeo and Juliet, they shouldn't be together but they are drawn to each other. Mercedes has bigger worries than being bullied at school though. There is someone after her dad's club and to get to them they are targeting their children. No one is safe and no one knows who is starting the trouble. This book covers an array of feelings and situations; we have a young relationship along with grown-up problems and the worse kind of bullies. This book was not as sizzling as others have been but it worked for who these characters were. There was for sure some explosive moments but there was more story being uncovered and a true friendship being built. Mercedes is a hot ticket, she made me laugh and her easy conversations made me smile. Diesel is one-of-a-kind once you get past the tough exterior.
