This book I could not put down.Michael Connelly does it again! We learn more about Harry Bosch's background and his secrets as we are pulled into a puzzling murder that leads him to a serial murderer. Harry is being sued in Civil Court by the family of the Dollmaker, a serial killer Harry killed in the line of duty four years prior. The Dollmaker case is mentioned in the previous book and we learn more details in this one since the two cases have a surprising connection. Connelly leads us through the Dollmaker case without writing a book specifically about it. Harry also continues the relationship with Sylvia that he started in the previous book.
