I don’t want to be the guy who stood in the way if there is someone who could make you happier than I could. That was the truth. She meant enough to him that her happiness came first.”

A.J. Pine delivers a smart, witty, and charming read that is wildly entertaining!!!! For all you friends to lover romance trope fanatics, this is one book that you wouldn’t want to miss. Get those #oneclick fingers ready because this friends to lovers story will have you swooning and awwing right off the opening pages. In this whirlwind adventure where the lines of friendship begins to transition to something more, Ms. Pine will douse her readers with all the FEELS for one incredible love story.

It is often said timing is everything. And for Brynn and Jamie, these two best friends never seem to get their timing right. Circumstances always seem to be in their way. So fast forward to ten years later, Jamie and Brynn are reunited and embark on a road trip of a lifetime. Soon these best friends will find themselves getting their second chance of what if. What if it they finally act on their feelings. What if, they could see that have the best of both worlds. Best friends and lovers. So if timing is everything, will you grab that opportunity before “the one gets away?”

Nothing was certain. He understood that now. But he also understood that loving his best friend was worth all the risk, because trying not to love her? Well, that wasn’t an option anymore.”

I adored this book. It was light, smart, fun, and adorably sweet. This book had a wide array of emotions to make your heart burst with so much love as Jamie and Brynn begin to see that this road trip was a pivotal moment in their relationship. AJ Pine has perfectly layered this book with so much depth, which allowed readers to understand, feel, and see that this friendship is so much more than just two best friends. It is real. Honest. Pure. And it is love. So if you are looking for a book that was smart and beautifully well-written, then I urge you to read this book. And I can 100% say that AJ Pine has perfectly timed a palpable love story that will set hearts fluttering.
