really liked it

The doll shape in this book is simply wonderful--from the feet to the length of the legs, all the way to the nose, the shape has personality and a sense of humor.

A couple of lacunae:
1. No design for ears, however Carlos gave me one personally , and I think it adds enormously to the overall character of the dolls;
2. The design for the eyes is not easy and must be changed. Several fellow knitters and I all had to change the pattern to make it work;
3. Some of the clothing designs are a bit simple--a few pattern modifications would make them better. Yet that's what makes this book so simple: it's written for a beginning knitter. I've made several and they are so easily changed;
4. I wish there had been more patterns for different shoes and accessories;
5. Often the photos of the patterns you're working on don't occur on the same page. Irritating!

Very simple designs, easy to follow patterns, also a lovely, delightful book, well translated.
