really liked it
bookshelves: scifi-fantasy
Read from February 25 to March 04, 2012

** spoiler alert ** It's impossible to read Asimov's great trilogy and not realize how much George Lucas, shall we say was influenced, when creating the original Star Wars trilogy ( a colonel named Han Pritcher, a monarch named Dagobert, everyone carrying "blasters", a mutant little green guy who has the power to control emotional states with his mind). And while the Foundation series does not focus on swashbuckling ship to ship space battles or light-saber duels, it is no less a great read for Asimov's elegant prose and his ability to transport the reader into intergalactic worlds.
