This was... OK.

Everyone's experience can be quite different with this book because it speaks to you in a very abstract, general style. So, depending on the moment of your life you're going through, it can be very illuminating, soothing, and/or touching; or it can be just a rather cliché collection of wisdom quotes regarding many different topics, for there are beautiful passages, indeed, throughout the whole book.

This is book doesn't excel in poetry, philosophy, or spirituality, but it gives you glimpses of all of that. This is a spiritual reading (not necessarily a religious one) so expect contradictions, big and general statements, and many ways to interpret every sentence of this book. There's nothing new or original. There are no compelling arguments about any topic, just some vague reflections, and ideas about life.

My recommendation: Read it. You won't lose that much (nor money -you can read it online for free, nor time). If you don't like the first chapters, you can stop reading (the book won't get better). And don't try to read it later in your life if you don't like it now. There are so many books you can read, you don't need to try to like this one. If it's not for you, it's OK.
