really liked it
bookshelves: poetry, psychology, classic
Read in January, 1977 — I own a copy

I read this for a class at IU back in 1977 and it’s loaded with notes in the margins. Most prominent comments are—beautiful, imaginative images; strong language; speaker finds life too painful—feels herself drawn to suicide. . . . Her poetry cries for explanation—“O my God, what am I.” Such a great talent. Such a sad life.
