really liked it
bookshelves: family, multicultural

This book is about a girl who wants to buy a chair by saving up coins in a jar. The girl used to live in a house, but it got burned down and they lost everything including the chairs. The community including her relatives helps them out and she finally gets to buy the chair at the end. I recommend this book because many things can be taught through this book such as family, relatives, community, and single parent homes, and not being so well off. Grade 2-3
