liked it

This was an odd, but entertaining group of short stories (and a lengthy novella). There are some shocks, some scares, and, surprisingly, some laughs to be had in this collection. The collection probably merits a 3.5 star rating, with the "The Mist," and the good stories absolutely outshining the others. I think that about ten or so stories could have been cut to make this collection five stars all around and really zing with fluidity.

My favorites from this collection:

"The Mist"
"The Monkey"
"Mrs. Todd's Shortcut"
"The Jaunt"
"The Wedding Gig"
"Word Processor of the Gods"
"Survivor Type"
"The Ballad of the Flexible Bullet"
