really liked it
bookshelves: non-fiction

A brilliant idea for a book and very well-executed. The book tells an important and moving story, while raising a host of issues, most of which can only be touched on briefly, but which will no doubt be explored in greater depth by other authors, researchers, and policy makers. This book has it all medical ethics issues, racial and class issues, treatment of people with mental disorders, etc. all brought to life through the telling of story of one woman, her cancer cells, and the family that will forever be affected by her story.

Chak I just saw this book and was interested in it, and it was great to see you wrote a review of it (and that two of my other friends read it, too). Definitely adding it to the ever-growing to-read list!
