it was amazing
bookshelves: humorous, friendship

I love the Elephant and Piggie series! Willems does a fabulous job telling humorous stories about the unlikely friendship between an elephant and a pig who do silly things, and most often get a little confused :) In this book, Elephant and Piggie are just so excited about playing outside, until the unfortunate event of a rainstorm. The friends are so upset because they HATE the rain. However, as the story goes on, the two friends discover the rain can be fun to play in! Just as soon as they find fun in playing in puddles and splashing around, the rain stops, and they are once again, dissatisfied with the weather. Elephant cheers up Piggy when he makes water blow out of his elephant trunk--his act shows great friendship because he makes Piggy happy. Young students will love this hilarious book about friendship with somebody who is different than you, but can help you out in times of need. I hope to own every book in this series :)
