Port Mortuary (Kay Scarpetta, #18)

Disappoiting. I appreciated the author's effort/experiment to write this in the first person, but it became so restrictive as to render the novel boring. Everything is from Scarpetta's viewpoint so you end up not getting to know what the villain and other characters are thinking, feeling, etc. If Benton, her husband, had to pee I think we would have had her description of what that was like. The plot also seemed a bit thin. It had some potentially grabbing threads, such as nanobots, but they never fully developed into anything exciting. So overall it was a pretty flat read. Not sure I'll buy anymore Cornwell novels after this experience.
