Grunt: The Curious Science of Humans at War

A fascinating look at the science of the military. From clothing to sweat to transplants to diarrhea to stink bombs this book covers a little bit of everything, especially the things you don't think about in relation to the military. My first thought when I picked this up was, "so military maneuvering?" But it isn't that AT ALL. It is a closer look at the people behind the soldiers -- the fashion designers, the audiologists, the researchers, the scientists, the doctors -- that make the job of military personnel (hopefully) a little safer and (maybe) a little more comfortable.
