liked it
bookshelves: children, tween-novel

I liked this book and think it is a really good fit for all those kids who love "dog books". The chapters alternate narrators between the girl owner and the lost dog. This has strong girl appeal but due to the fact that the dog narrates half the book, it still could pull in some boys.

I did find it a tad long for this genre and think a few of the chapters were unnecessary. It has a happy ending, which is important to know for your audience.
