I almost DNFd before the halfway mark, but something about this author's writing kept pulling me in. Maybe she made endearing characters. Maybe she crafted clever back stories. Maybe it was the mystery of when Liam and Ella would finally get their acts together. It could be a combination of a multitude of things, but I don't regret continuing. I saw great potential for this story but I was content with the direction the author chose to steer me. I had no love for Ella's friend and I'm happy I won't have to endure her in book 2. I may seem cold, but that girl was no friend that I could tell. Not in the end at least. I did feel bad for Nathan, but at the same time he gave himself false expectations and has no one to blame but himself. I'm glad that Ella and Liam seem to be on the cusp of something great. I'm just wondering how her past will be resolved in the next book. I guess there's only one way to find out! Ciao!
