Read 2 times. Last read June 15, 2017 to June 21, 2017.
Second time reading:
It was the second time I read this book, this time I read it in Portuguese. Now with a greater separation from my reading of the series The Selection, I was able to enjoy this book more and I liked it more than the first time, because the first time I found too many similarities between the characters of The Siren and The Selection.
-
I think America is a more complete character and win my preference in relation to Kahlen, but I like her too.
I always loved mermaids, I can say I really enjoyed this book, but I'd like that history was a little more developed.
We can see that Kiera has a pattern in their characters, they have similar personalities. Maxon is similar to Akinli and America with Kahlen, I don't know if this is a positive thing, probably not.
I gave 4 stars because I like the story, the idea of a cruel ocean that makes mermaids prisoners and murderers, until love complicates everything.
