This is the enchanting, uproarious second installment of Maryrose Wood's irresistible mystery-adventure series set in Victorian England, featuring plucky young governess Penelope Lumley, a graduate of the Swanburne Academy for Poor Bright Females, and her mischievous charges, three children who have been raised by wolves in the local forest. This witty series is aimed at middle-grade kids, though teens and especially adults will get more out of the ubiquitous humor. Lovely illustrations too. A terrific, fun read for ages 9 and up.
