A story of unlikely friendship. Mole hears excited footsteps overhead and pokes his head out to investigate. He runs and chases the footsteps but gets lost and falls asleep under the bushes. That night he hears whimpering which frightens him. Its a wolf cub who is also lost and afraid of the dark. Mole is not afraid of the dark, he is afraid of the light. So the two come up with a plan to help each other. Mole keeps Wolf company during the dark night. And in the morning light, Wolf helps Mole find his home and then goes home himself.
