Two and half stars rather than three. I did like it but - isn't there always a but? Well, there is with me. I really like the way Nicci French draws bad guys. There is something compelling about Hayden and I was really disappointed he was the dead one. Sigh. It took a while to get into the see saw before and after nature of the narrative but it worked okay. I think the authors did a good job in setting up lots of suspects. The murderer could have been one of many but the one who actually did it, wasn't drawn as well and that sort of gave it away for me. Even so, the story kept my attention and it was a quick read. I do like Nicci French books. I've read them all. This isn't one of my favorites but Hayden will stay with me for a long time.
