Wow!! This first part blew me away!! I thought I knew what to expect from the heroine (who is also the narrator), but every time I tried to predict her or Rhett's reactions, I was thrown. It is pretty easy to figure out why Faye ran away from home at the age of 16. I'm just anxiously awaiting the reveal to Brett. I understand his condescending attitude towards her but he's gonna eat crow soon I bet. I can't say I'm surprised by a lot of Faye's actions per se because I have to keep reminding myself that she's only 19.
