I read till 20% of this book before giving it up. I saw considerably more struggles in my own life than in the author's. Maybe this was because the author has made peace with her struggles or maybe my struggles truly were much greater.

I've overcome an 18 year old addiction, lived a life of Social Phobia since my earliest childhood memories, grew up getting bullied by fellow students, beaten up by teachers (almost everyday) even though I was really innocent as a kid. I have my own scars of the things people did when I was a kid. But now that I'm grown up and independent I have learnt to stand-up when required. No one can just walk over me today. I still have lots of lessons to learn since my father wasn't there (he was actually and I'll probably spend the remaining life healing his scars).

I can't give this book more than 3 stars. It neither soothed me nor taught me anything about life. TBH it was annoying to me because I didn't find any wisdom applicable for my life. But as a book by itself no doubt it's a good one. It reads like a story and if your mind isn't disturbed, as mine has been in the last one week, then you can casually sail through it.
