Despite not liking Lawless, I continued the series hoping it would redeem itself, and I think it did. Nothing much happened in Lawless, but the plot in this was much more dynamic, and I liked the new characters introduced.

I read this in a few big stints with some gaps in-between them, so it did take me a little bit to sink back into the world.

I guess I didn't love the romance as much as in King and Tyrant. The story didn't feel as dynamic, and the stakes didn't feel as high.

Love how dark this series has been though. Looking forward to reading more work from TM Frazier. Especially if there is a book about Rage, she is intriguing. Also going to read Jake and Abbey's story. Oh, and would definitely love to hear more from Preppy. This author definitely creates memorable characters.
