Whispers Under Ground

3.5 stars.
This review will be short because I've said it all before in my reviews of books 1 and 2 of this series (Rivers of London and Moon Over Soho - click the title to read the review on my blog).
If you enjoyed books 1 and 2 of the Peter Grant series then you'll enjoy book 3. By this point in the series it's like meeting up with old friends and chasing after them round London on further entertaining supernatural/police procedural shenanigans. In fact, the police procedural bits are now the most entertaining. You get the impression this is really how police business happens (slightly shambolic and loads of paperwork).
I look forward to getting onto books 4 and 5.

“This is why magic is worse even than quantum physics. Because, while both spit in the eye of common sense, I've never yet had a Higgs bosun turn up and try to have a conversation with me.”
