This series had it all. Drama, romance, heartbreak, intrigue, hot sex, an Alpha male, a psychopath, and an amateur detective. Carrie and Gavin went through a bit of suffering in order to end up together. The HEA wasn't all it was cracked up to be but I think that's because there is a French Connection series, which is a continuation. In the end, Gavin was still swoon-worthy and Carrie was still annoying but luckily I still enjoyed the read!
