Not quite four stars, but not quite three either, so we'll settle with 3.25-3.75.
That being said I stepped completely out of my norm by buying this book. I usually grab the mystery/thrillers and that't it, but something about this book called to me. Maybe it's because I a have a sister, who knows!
I truly enjoyed the young Ruthie and Julia. Their characters were well thought out and lively. But once their parents died and their lives began as adults something about their character development fell short. There were just too many things left unanswered.
I don't want to say too much and give away the book, as the book and idea were both quite good. I still read it in a couple of days and it did make me laugh and cry - all good signs.
