did not like it

First of all, if you're going to write a novel which readers PAY for, you need to at least do your research. The line which did it for me in this story was about xbox video games, where one character, Trevor, asked about the new "Metal of Honour". I'm in no way a video game fan, but I could see the clear mispelling of Medal of Honor. This was just one typo among many. Where was the editor for this book?

This story had potential, but it fell a bit flat and inconsistent. *SPOILER* When the bad guy left a mutilated dog on Trevor's doorstep with a creepy note, wouldn't ANYONE ELSE call the damn police and report it? Not Trevor, he simply puts the body in a garbage bag and drives it over to the vet with his neighbor and no one seems otherwise disturbed.
