Greg One of my favorite books. Spence was a master historian and fantastic story teller; his class was legendary and one of the highlights of my education.

Kalliope This is a great book. I also particularly liked, and read twice, (the second time immediately upon completion of the first reading), was his "The Chan's Great Continent: China in Western Minds".
